your responsibilities
- Defining problems, opportunities, and success outcomes, while empowering the team to determine how to get there
- Defining clear project scope, constraints, and priorities to ensure delivery within set timelines
- Communicating intent through diagrams, sketches, and outlines rather than exhaustive documentation
- Communicating to users, customer support, and business stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and strategic direction
- Pitching shaped work to the leadership team for consideration in upcoming development cycles
- Identifying potential technical issues upfront and teaming up with senior developers to validate feasibility
- Keeping specs lean and clear – just enough for the team to get started without overloading on documentation
- Reviewing delivered work against the original intent and stakeholder needs
what we're looking for
- Proven experience in IT project management, preferably within the fintech, financial services, or other fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Systems thinking – ability to see how a feature fits into the bigger picture and shape it into a clear, manageable task.
- UX and technical awareness – ability to sketch interface ideas and understand how they might be implemented, without being a designer or developer.
- Ability to pitch ideas clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Being comfortable with trade-offs and limiting scope to ensure projects are delivered within time constraints.
- Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and carrying them forward.
